Also known as the Peacock Plant because of its markings, the Calathea Makoyana is an absolute beauty! 
 
It likes bright, indirect light – direct sun will cause its leaf colour to fade.
 
Keep its soil moist but never saturated – little and often is the key to success. It also likes a humid environment, a regular mist will keep it happy. If it’s edges start to brown, it needs a higher level of humidity. These plants are quite high maintenance, if the humidity/temperature isn't quite right, they'll start to struggle.
